Clubbing

friday-night-soho
Friday night in
the west end,
desperation fills
the sweatbox,
bodies tarted up
in glittering strips
of cloth,
knocking back
aluminous juices
of artificial flavours
and colourings mixed
with booze,
at the very
centre of
their
universe
while I float around
on this shitty old
piece of space junk
that only shines
like a star
from the
distance.

About bezwik

Lennie Bezwik is an English poet and lyricist who lives in Spain. His biggest inspirations are homelessness, unemployment, booze, love and being dreamy.
